Welcome back from Thanksgiving weekend.
This week in reading we are listening to another novel about Flat Stanley and practicing the reading strategy of Visualizing. Students are drawing pictures of what they are imagining or picturing in their minds as they hear the story.
In math, we have moved into our unit on Measurement. We will be studying linear measurement using standard and non-standard units as well as studying perimeter and area. Use ixl.com Grade 2 math questions under Units of Measurement for at home practice, as well as, our Prodigy accounts.
We have been working on Thanksgiving weekend recounts this week in Writing and students are doing a great job writing with greater detail in their journals!
