Flat Stanley update!
We continue to receive emails from our pen pals in Mexico. We enjoy learning about what they do around their town Satillo and about some of their celebrations this time of the year. We will be sending a letter soon with pictures of our snow!
We are also excited that one of our Stanleys was mailed to a cousin in the Netherlands! We enjoyed comparing their classroom to ours!
In Language we are writing our own Flat Stanley Adventures which we will type out and make into a book later this month! Ask your child to tell you about the characters, setting, problem and solution to their story.
Continue reading at home and please note that there is a new shared reading poem in your child's blue book. It is about Celebrations which ties into our Social Studies unit.
In Math we have just finished our Measurement unit and quiz marks are in your child's agenda. We are now learning about Patterning. We are talking about pattern attributes, pattern cores, naming patters and using t-charts with number patterns.
